Pointe de Pen-Hir, Bretagne - France / Amsa Dong, Séoul - Corée du Sud
La performance faite en Corée du Sud, le 3 septembre 2008 est un moule expérimental d'une mesure que j'ai fait le 23 août 2008 des alignements mégalithiques de Lagatjar à Pen-Hir (2500 AVANT JÉSUS CHRIST, Bretagne, France). Par conséquent j'ai renversé le nord avec le sud 35° et adapté l'échelle au théâtre zéro (théâtre de performance à Séoul), un pas = un pied : CONTRACTION. Je me mets dans un désir archéologique d'où j'étais et d'où je suis mais également la relation incertaine entre le bruit et le visuel, le masculin & féminin, l'action, la contraction. Le retard comme chemin expérimental vers le passé et le maintenant, un intervalle où tout est rendu possible. fabriquant une boussole avec du liège, une aiguille, un aimant, une cuvette rempli avec de l'eau, pour trouver nord 35° et renverser la situation (sud 35°), tendre une ficelle et commencer à imprimer avec une craie chaque Lagatjar (pierre) - étape par étape - sur le sol et « danser » avec des chaussures de golf ?
Golf ? J'arrive le 29 août 2008 à Séoul avec des chaussures de golf - je ne sais pas vraiment pourquoi je les ai prises avec moi, peut-être pour leur bruit sur sol - et alors, je suis allé rester chez Moon Jae Song - l'artiste coréen - qui vit près d'un complexe de golf, j'a passé plusieurs heures à filmer et enregistrer les balles de golf dans le filet - celà m'a incité à penser à la rétroaction visuelle et à la musique d'ordinateur aléatoire - je mélange le bruit des chaussures à la vidéo du complexe de golf - rythme entropique d'un orchestre de balles frappées… pour créer mon propre espace avec un enregistreur analogue Nagra IV-L

Concept (Contents) : The performance made in South Korea, sept 3rd 2008 is an experimental mould of a measurement I made 27th august 2008 of the megalithic alignments of Lagatjar in Pen-Hir (2500 BC, Bretagne, France). Therefore I reversed the North with the South 35° and adapted the scale to Theater Zero (performance theater in Seoul), one step = one foot : CONTRACTION. I put myself in an archeological desire of where I was and where I am but also the questionable brotherhood between Sound and Visual, Male & Female, the action, the contraction. The delay as an experimental path towards the past and the now, an interval where everything is made possible. Building a compass with a cork, a needle, a magnet, a bowl filled with water, to find the north 35° to reverse the situation (south 35°), tight a rope and begin to print with a chalk each Lagatjar (stone) - step by step - on the ground and « dancing » with golf shoes ?
Golf ? I arrive august 29th 2008 in Seoul with golf shoes - I don't really know why but I had to take them, maybe for their sound on the ground - and then I went to stay by Moon Jae Sung - korean artist - who lives near a golf complex, I spent several hours filming and recording the balls in the nest - it made me think of video feedback and random computer music - I mix the sound of the shoes with the video of the golf complex - entropic rythm of an orchestra of hitting and strucking balls… to create my own space thru an analog delay recorder Nagra IV-L.
I start the archeological process in the space I desire… Amsa-Dong ? Before the performance I found myself in Amsa Dong (6500 BC, Seoul), at the end-station of the subway n°8. I filmed a target and other documents I could find on the Neolithic settlement site. Amsa Dong was for me the present and intimate matter I could use for the performance in order to create a relationship between where I was - megalithic alignments of Lagatjar in France - and where I am - Seoul, South Korea.
Origin of loss of origin, open the past & open the now… The performance piece " Contraction " is thus a mechanical process, a print or an experimental reproduction of the past… Amsa-Dong is a counterpoint to Pen-Hir, the desire to reveal a form here in South Korea, the theater is a place of representation, reproduction, Pen-hir is the origin, theater is the loss of origin - ARCHEOLOGY & SPORT - abstraction of a projected body in time and space.
